This year everyone got pillowcases for Christmas. It was a good excuse to play with pattern combinations and spend some quiet time fondling fabric in the studio. It was also a great way to share my vast stash of Sassaman designs.
Part of the fun was choosing the perfect combinations of color and design to match each personality.
I love the ones for my niece, Maddie.
She is 16 and her bedroom is orange.
These should be perfect!
Pastel pillows for Mom.
The simple black and white is my favorite.
Girly pillows.
Pillows for the architect.
Our home is our laboratory for using the fabric, so it shows up everywhere. Even the Christmas tree gets into the act.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pillowcases! Your combinations are just exquisite! Makes me want to run right into my sewing room and whip up a bunch of them since I have a LOT of your fabrics!! -Terri
Wow! Bright explosions of colour.
Wonderful.
O boy Jane! I am soooo excited to see this new blog and all the great ideas. I have to make pillowcases now, thanks to you. I will also make a point of posting your new site on my blog today.
I see pillowcases in my future, too. The pink and lime green ones are perfect for all the granddaughters. I like the black and white, too. Now off to the fabric store!
Hi Jane, glad to see you took the plunge into the world of blogging! The blog looks gorgeous with all the quilts down the sidebar. I am happy to be your first subscriber. I love the pillows, they are so gorgeous. This coming Christmas you will need to make aprons for everybody!
Wow! These are beautiful! :)
SO so glad I found your blog. I have been a fan of your design ideas! Love this! The pillow case idea is great and now I want to make some too! Thank you.
The combinations of fabrics are wonderfully fun. I would love to know what pattern you used or if you just made it up yourself. Thanks
Hi Jane: Love the picture of your Xmas tree - but what, indeed are the huge fruit/gourd/squash/melons and are they real or are they paper mache? - I'm blown away by them - the colour and the subtle shading on them. And loved being able to see all those great pillow slips - such a joy!!
Welcome to the world of blogging - love it because it's so direct and immediate.
